I am privileged to have my wonderful family play some important roles for Up in Smoke. We are a diverse bunch. Each member brings something unique to the table. I love them all to bits and am grateful for what they contribute to Up in Smoke.

Anthony Beran

Anthony began developing his BBQ skills from the age of 13 while helping his Uncle Dimitri to prepare the charcoal spit roaster for Greek Easter, continuing to collaborate every year. Anthony has honed his talent by devoting his weekends to BBQing for friends and family in his Mascot backyard. Emerging from Sydney’s famous classical Italian restaurant Machiavelli, and its more modern lovechild Mach2, Anthony is truly doing what he loves when catering. His happiness while BBQing at your party is contagious among your guests. His cooking style is precise, theatrical, and soulful.

Paul-Jay Beran
Brother & Business Development Manager

Paul-Jay’s passion is growing small businesses. He honed in on this skill during his position as Business Development Manager at a tech start-up firm called Connected Apps. He is in charge of public relations, client management, and marketing.

Chris Beran

Chris’s talent as a short order chef makes her the perfect compliment to Antony’s meat-based cooking. Her salads are simply scrumptious and stand happily alone as quality dishes. Combining herbs and vegetables from her personal garden with seasonal ingredients is her key. Chris is a master in preparing delicious salads and sides, constantly delivering the perfect compliments to Anthony’s BBQing.
